At Pure Physical Therapy, we are there for our clients every step of the way. And we know that there will be a good number of steps involved.

In working physical therapy into a post-surgery program or some other type of plan, it’s important to understand the nature of this kind of work, and how to rehabilitate the human body. It’s a journey – it takes time!

You don’t get there just by jumping in and barreling ahead. It has to be deliberate. Otherwise you risk secondary injuries and painful, slow rehabilitation processes. Good PT requires someone putting some thought into it. 

Getting to the Root Cause of Pain

Every type of pain is different, and it’s caused in different ways.

So before we start to just get you moving, we figure out what’s behind the limitations that you have. Maybe you have a bulging disc, and the type of work that chiropractors do is vital to the process of diagnosis. Maybe it’s a certain type of nerve pain, in which case you’re fine until you move the wrong way. Other kinds of nerve pain, though, involve real chronic pain that radiates even when you’re at rest, just because of the way that the nerve is stuck. We’ve seen that kind of sciatica up close enough to know that it requires its own customized PT plan. 

We work with vertigo and other conditions too. We look for the cause of the pain and treat according to the underlying condition. That’s important, partly because of the human body’s complexity. People who underestimate that complexity often cut corners when it comes to pain treatment and rehab. Don’t let that happen to you or a loved one, because it can lead to a long, discouraging road.
