Coming into Pure Physical Therapy for the second time due to my second knee surgery I knew the huge challenge I had ahead of me. The main thing I was afraid to tear was my ACL, and it so happened I tore it during my basketball game. I would always come into therapy crying since I wanted to be back on the court. I had a dream of playing college basketball, and when I wanted to give up, the wonderful people at Pure Physical Therapy made me see otherwise. They never let me give up and they’re a big reason I will be playing college basketball at Houston-Tillotsan university in Austin, TX.

I came here because I have a slap injury on my left shoulder and right knee, needless to say I suffered pain on both. My main concern was my shoulder, I had trouble sleeping and in constant pain. Well after twice a week therapy for two months I can honestly say my pain level went from sometimes 10 to about 6, it is now between 2-0. Doctors had told me I needed surgery so I’m glad I saw Frank Garza on Facebook even at my worst level of pain after therapy I can tolerate the low level of pain without medication.

At my age I only have a few more goals left in my bucket lest. One of these is to ride a bicycle and complete a 100 mile tour in one day. Five months ago I had a complete knee replacement and after completing the mandatory recuperation program I realized I still had a ways to go before I had the base I needed to feel confident and safe on a road bicycle. After the doctors release I immediately joined Pure and the past three months here taught me how to walk and exercise without pain. I feel better than I’ve felt in years, and think my base is much stronger and ready to build on for meeting my goal.
